This half-day seminar explores the extraordinary 100-year life of Asma bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنها

It traces her noble upbringing in Makkah, her heroic role in the Prophet ﷺ migration, and her resilience through poverty and political upheaval. The program focuses on extracting timeless lessons of courage, family leadership, and unwavering faith for women of all ages today.

SPEAKER PROFILE:

Ustadha Ameena Blake (Sheffield, UK)

Ustadha Ameena is a Muslim scholar with a Masters degree in Islamic Studies. Other qualifications include: BA English Studies, PG in Teaching & MSc in Leadership and Management.

She is a Director of the Eden House UK (EHUK) - A women's refuge project. She also serves as a Chaplain in The University of Sheffield, South Yorkshire Police & lectures in Islamic Studies at Markfield Institute of Higher Education.

Ustadha teaches across the globe at, courses & conferences as well as on social media and is a regular on Islam Channel. She is an instructor for Al Balagh Academy, Roots Academy and the Lead Program.

Ustadha has sat on several Mosque boards over the past two decades and served as ASG of the Muslim Council of Britain as well as sitting as an Islamic advisor on various platforms.

She was given the Beacon Mosque, Most impactful Aalimah award in 2022 and is part of the Sheffield University Inspirational Women 2024
